Thank you for following our invitation to look at the next steps of a football journey at Waldridge Park.

 

We have had a regular number of players at Superstars that should support two squads of seven players each.

Each team in the club has its own identity and takes a name from one of the streets of Waldridge Park. Suggested names are: Ashkirk; Chatton; Dronfield; Fenton; Fenwick; Norton; Millfield; Redesdale.

 

We will move the training to another night soon (probably around February half-term), to create space for the next cohort of Superstars (Reception class age) to join. We will try to keep the sessions indoors.

When the teams are formed, we ask families to amend their standing orders to £20 per calendar month. We offer a 10% discount for families with more than one child in the club (one child £20; two siblings £36; three siblings £54).

 

Commitment to the teams will be taken from the date standing orders being converted to £20 pcm- once you have done this, please email waldridgepark@yahoo.co.uk

That payment covers:

• Player insurance, Team affiliation, Coaching Qualifications; Coaching checks

• League fees, Referee fees

• Home strip, Away top, Training jumper, Rainjacket

• Training balls, match balls, bibs, space markers, first aid kit, goalkeeper gloves

• Training venues, pitches

 

The league starts in June, with games of 5v5 teams. Our young teams generally enter the North East Junior Football League- https://www.njfl.org.uk/ Games are played at local venues- Beamish (Stanley), Blaydon, Cleveland Hall (Low Fell), Consett FC, North Durham Academy (Stanley), Redheugh FC (Teams).

 

We are keen for any interested parents to step forward as team coaches or team secretaries. Ideally, we would like two coaches and two secretaries.
